This course provides security officers with the essential knowledge and skills required to perform security duties within building premises. Learners will understand how to prepare for duty, manage access control, perform guard-house and patrol duties, handle telephone calls and lost-and-found properties, and respond effectively to intrusion alarms.
The course also emphasizes professional communication, accurate report writing, and proper handover procedures to ensure smooth and effective security operations. Upon completion, learners will be equipped to carry out their responsibilities confidently and in accordance with workplace and industry requirements.

- Carry Out Static Guard Duties at the Guard-House by monitoring activities, maintaining security records, and responding appropriately to incidents.
- Handle Telephone Calls and Lost-and-Found Properties by communicating professionally, recording information accurately, and following established procedures for managing found items.
- Patrol Building Premises by conducting systematic patrols, identifying security risks, and reporting safety or maintenance issues.
- Perform Intrusion Alarm Duties in the Control Room by monitoring alarm systems, assessing alarm activations, and initiating appropriate response actions.
- Write Reports and Conduct Handover of Duties by documenting incidents accurately and providing clear and complete handovers to ensure continuity of security operations.
